Terms of Service
This English version is a translation of the Korean terms. If the two differ, the Korean version prevails.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms set out the conditions for using the game app I Can't Say That - Fool the AI (the "App") provided by SangLimSoft ("we", "us"), and the rights and obligations of us and our users. The agreement is formed when you accept these terms on the consent screen the first time you open the App. Matters relating to personal information are governed by the Privacy Policy, not these terms.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Anonymous account" means the random identifier created automatically the first time you open the App. It is not linked to a name or email address.
- "Message" means text you type and send in the chat.
- "AI reply" means text the in-game AI produces in response to a message.
- "Nickname" means text entered by the first user to clear the global challenge to appear in the Hall of Fame.
Article 3 (Posting and changes)
- We post these terms on this page, and you can also view them in the App's settings.
- We may change these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- When we change these terms, we post the changes, the effective date and the reason on this page at least 7 days before they take effect. If a change is unfavorable to you, we post it at least 30 days in advance and ask you to confirm again on the consent screen when you open the App.
- If you do not agree to the changed terms, you may stop using the App and delete it to end the agreement. Deletion of records we hold follows Article 12.
Article 4 (The service)
- The App is a puzzle game in which you talk an AI into saying the password it guards. It offers a story mode, a global challenge and a daily challenge.
- The App has no sign-up or login. An anonymous account is created the first time you open the App, and your progress, such as unlocked stages, is stored on your device.
- The App is free and has no in-app purchases. The App shows ads (Article 8). If we introduce paid products, we will add terms on payment and refunds and give notice under Article 3.
Article 5 (AI replies and judgments)
- Your opponent in the game is an AI, not a person. Every reply from your opponent in the chat is generated by AI.
- Messages are sent through our server to external AI services to produce AI replies, and are stored on our server. Where they are sent and how long they are kept are set out in sections 1, 4 and 5 of the Privacy Policy. Do not put personal information such as names or contact details in your messages.
- AI replies may be inaccurate or inappropriate. We do not guarantee that AI replies are accurate, complete or appropriate.
- Our server decides whether you cleared a stage by checking whether the AI reply contains the password. AI replies can vary, so the same message can lead to different results, and we do not guarantee that judgments are consistent.
- Each message can be up to 500 characters. If you send many messages in a short time or exceed the daily usage limit, your use may be limited for a while.
- You are responsible for using your messages and AI replies outside the game. Please report problematic AI replies through the support page or by email.
Article 6 (Your obligations)
Talking the in-game AI into revealing the password is normal play in this game. However, you must not:
- put other people's personal information, defamatory or insulting content, obscene or illegal content, or advertising in messages or nicknames;
- use AI replies to obtain illegal or harmful information unrelated to the game;
- send messages with automated programs, get around usage limits, or send abnormal requests to our server;
- modify the App or distribute a modified version, or copy, sell or redistribute the App or the images and text in it without our permission;
- impersonate another person when contacting us or requesting deletion.
If we find any of the above, we may restrict use by the anonymous account concerned.
Article 7 (Nicknames and the Hall of Fame)
- The first user to clear the global challenge may enter a nickname of up to 24 characters. The nickname appears in the Hall of Fame and is visible to all users.
- Do not put personal information such as your real name or contact details in your nickname.
- We may hide or delete a nickname that breaches Article 6 without notice.
- You can report a problematic nickname through the support page or by email, and we will take action after reviewing it. You can also ask us to delete your own nickname the same way.
Article 8 (Ads)
- The App may show a full-screen ad when you enter a stage. Ads are served by the ad provider; the ad provider and the information processed are set out in sections 1 and 4 of the Privacy Policy.
- Any transaction for products or services shown in an ad is between you and the advertiser, and we are not a party to it.
Article 9 (Rights)
- The rights to the App and its images, text and stage design belong to us. Open-source software in the App is subject to its own license; you can see the list under Open-source licenses in the App's settings.
- The rights to your messages and nickname remain with you. You allow us to store and use them for gameplay and for the purposes in the Privacy Policy (difficulty tuning, analysis of attack and defense techniques, and error handling), and to show your nickname in the Hall of Fame.
- We grant you the right to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes under these terms.
Article 10 (Changes to and suspension of the service)
- We may change stages, game rules, usage limits and the external services that produce AI replies through App updates.
- AI chat goes through our server and external AI services, so it may be temporarily unavailable because of server maintenance or an external service's outage or policy change.
- We may end the service for business or technical reasons. In that case, we will post a notice on this page at least 30 days in advance. Once the service ends, AI chat will no longer be available.
Article 11 (Personal information)
- We protect your personal information in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
- Sending usage statistics and error information to help improve the App is optional. You can play the whole game without agreeing and turn it off at any time in Settings. What is collected and how to delete records already sent are set out in the Privacy Policy.
Article 12 (Deleting your account and records)
- The App has no menu for deleting your anonymous account or records on our server. You can request deletion of your anonymous account, chat history and nickname through the request form on the support page or at support@sanglimsoft.com, and we will process it after verification.
- Because the App has no names or email addresses, we may need your approximate play time and device type to find the records.
- Deleting the App removes the progress stored on your device, but records on our server are deleted only on a request under paragraph 1.
Article 13 (Disclaimer)
The App is provided free of charge and as is. We do not guarantee that it will work without interruption or error, that it is fit for a particular purpose, or that it will produce the results you expect.
Article 14 (Limitation of liability)
- We are not liable for loss arising from:
- the content of AI replies or the results of judgments;
- messages or nicknames you entered being stored or made public;
- loss of progress because you deleted the App or your device was replaced, reset or lost;
- the App being unavailable because of an external AI service's outage, suspension or policy change, network conditions, the operating system, the device manufacturer or the app store.
- Where we are liable, our liability is limited to direct loss that could ordinarily be foreseen. The App is free, so you have paid us nothing for it.
- If you cause loss to a third party by breaching the law or these terms, you are responsible for it.
Article 15 (Exceptions to the limitation of liability)
Articles 13 and 14 apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law and do not apply to:
- loss caused by our intent or gross negligence;
- cases where the law prohibits excluding or limiting liability;
- rights guaranteed to you by consumer protection laws if you are a consumer.
Article 16 (Governing law and jurisdiction)
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes relating to the use of the App are brought before the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
